What's NewRising Sun Mills and the City of Providence Team Up for a Playground Blitz - June 17, 2004Rising un Mills Developers and the City of Providence each donate $7,500 towards the purchase and installation of $30,000 in new playground equipment for Donigian Park
The Home Depot and KaBOOM!, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building playgrounds in neighborhoods that need them most, are working with the Olneyville Collaborative and the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council to build a playground at Donigian Park on Valley Street, between Eagle and Olneyville squares. Councilwoman Josephine DiRuzzo and Rising Sun Mills, a joint venture of Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse Inc. and the Armory Revival Co., contributed equipment and money. Work on the playground will begin next Thursday at 8:30 a.m.. The playground will be dedicated at 2:30 p.m. the same day.
