Located along the Woonasquatucket River adjacted to the Rising Sun Mills property, Donginian Park is a critical resource for Olneyville residents, local community groups and recreational leagues. It is also a central gathering spot for numerous festivals held throughout the year. Through a consortium of publice and private interest groups and lead by the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, park enhancements and restoration of the Woonasquatucket River habitat are ongoing. Work completed by volunteers included river and riverbank cleanup, planting and landscaping of flower and plant beds and jungle gym area, installation of a public kayak launch, and landscaping of the Donginian Park park extention.
